Bill Newman is a Musician, Composer and Video Producer with over 35 years of experience in creating media.
His invested years of being a musician and performer continually inspire him to compose and produce tracks using many musical influences to create original music covering multiple styles and genres.
He began playing guitar in his early teens and quickly progressed to performing in clubs and concerts with popular local and regional bands. Through the late 70s, the 80s and 90s, Bill always performed live as well as writing, recording and producing with many original bands and projects. In 2001 he began recording professional music gear demos, and focused on producing his original solo projects along with participating in and performing with numerous bands.
In 2007 he began a career as professional video producer and editor, producing hundreds of online videos, many of these featuring one on one interviews with many well known musicians such as Alex Lifeson of Rush, Carlos Santana, Dave Mustaine, Eric Johnson, Joe Bonamassa and many others. The documentary style videos feature the artists discussing the gear they use, their writing process and what drives their creativity. Bill has also produced documentory videos profiling the careers of music industry legends such as Seymour Duncan, Hartley Peavey, Paul Reed Smith and Chris Martin IV.
The videos from these productions are featured on the Harmony Central and Musicians Friend websites, along with many artists websites. Bill's work is featured on the Eric Johnson DVD "Anaheim", Zoro the Drummer DVD "Zoro - One Night Only", and is a feature of the media display for the Martin Guitar Company exhibit at the Musical Instrument Museum in Scottsdale, Arizona.
In 2013, Bill put his attention to composing and recording music for use in broadcast and online media. Currently his collection includes hundreds of unique original tracks with styles of Classic to Heavy Rock, Funk, Fusion and Ambient Electronic, mixed with other genres, making for effective cues and soundtracks.
